Mariko Farrell is a musician and singer who lives in San Francisco, California.

She has performed as a soloist and has been in many quirky bands. She studied classical music at UCBerkeley and later, studied jazz and world music. She played with Gamelan Sekar Jaya (Balinese gamelan ensemble), sang as a soloist in Aswat (Arabic music ensemble) and performed in Japan at a geisha nightclub.

She wrote the story, composed/produced the songs and directed Maggies Farmyard Adventure (Living Books) . She also co-directed and composed/produced the songs for Sheila Rae the Brave (Living Books).

She has written and produced music for Disney amusement parks, Nickelodeon, and Fisher-Price toys and has worked as a sound designer on many projects.

She composed/produced an album of 10 songs, called Yes and No.

She created Hostage, a solo musical theater performance, about her experience being taken hostage in South Korea.

She is currently finishing an album called House Occupied. The songs are available on digital platforms.
